Super Bowl 43 (XLIII) kickoff is tomorrow in Tampa Bay, Florida. The Pittsburgh Steelers will be taking on the Arizona Cardinals in the NFL championship game which is likely to be the most watched televised broadcast of the year. With a global audience of One Billion and TV broadcasts upwards of 230 countries and territories across the planet (in 34 different languages), one could say the Super Bowl has Super Reach. That's no secret to anyone, especially advertisers, who are spending between $2.4 million and $3 million per 30-second commercial spot. I've put together a guide featuring 7 frequently search topics related to Super Bowl XLIII. Hope you find it useful.

In preparation for the big game America is out buying new flatscreen LCD TVs, shopping for food and beverages, cooking up Super Bowl recipes, and making plans to be with friends and family. Thousands have traveled to Tampa Bay to be there live and thousands more have traveled to Las Vegas to enjoy the festivities in a gambling environment, where one can bet on everything from will the coin toss be heads or tails? to who will win the Super Bowl?.

I did some research to find answers to potential questions like when does the superbowl start, what's the spread, what colors do the teams wear, what commercials are airing, what channel is the Super Bowl on, and how old is Bruce Springsteen. It's my personal Super Bowl XLIII guide, hope you enjoy it!

Superbowl Schedule
The Superbowl start time or the official Super Bowl Kick Off is at 6:18 pm Eastern time, but you may want to be in front of the TV by 6 p.m. Eastern time. Superbowl XLIII is televised on NBC and NBC high-definition (HD). The game is broadcast in over 230 countries & territories in 34 languages so it's best to check locally for broadcast information if you're not in the United States. Also check NBC Sports for more coverage. Those not watching television can listen to Super Bowl XLIII on more than 100 radio stations. Westwood One is covering radio broadcasts. Use the Westwood One Station Finder to find a local Super Bowl 43 radio station.

Super Bowl XLIII Location
This years NFL national championship takes place at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay, Florida (home stadium of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers). If for some reason you needed a map (maybe you're going to the game), the stadium is located at 4201 N Dale Mabry Hwy, Tampa, FL. Here's a Raymond James Stadium map link from Google.

Super Bowl Spread
Odds on who's going to win the 2009 Super Bowl is really the area of pro football handicappers and sports betting experts. From brief searches I conducted it appears the Pittsburgh Steelers are the favorite team (President Barack Obama has picked Pittsburgh to win) over the underdog Arizona Cardinals. The Super Bowl point spread ranges from 6.5 to 7 points depending on where one places their bets. Nearly all sites I checked showing Arizona Vs Pittsburgh Betting Odds, listed the point spread at 6 1/2. In Super Bowl Odds language that's Steelers -6? or Cardinals +6?.

Super Bowl Recipes
Guacamole recipes (made from avocados), super bowl snacks (like nachos and cheese dip), and even heart friendly alternatives (healthy super bowl recipes), are posted on a gazillion sites. There is no doubt though, this years SuperBowl recipe MVP (most volume of pork) award goes to Bacon Explosion, a colossal meat lovers delight. Besides cooking up the bacon belly bomb from Kansas City, check out Food Network for an Ultimate Guacamole dip recipe. Frank's Red Hot features a number of recipes for appetizers, snacks, and meals like Buffalo chicken wings, spicy hot burgers, and even zesty shrimp dip. Bruce Springsteen Halftime Show
This years Super Bowl 43 Halftime Show features Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band in a 12 minute rock 'n roll musical performance. Springsteen (aka The Boss) is expected to play between 3 and 4 songs, none of which have yet been announced. How old is Bruce Springsteen? He was born on September 23, 1949, which makes him 59 years old and still rocking hard. The halftime show is sponsored and is officially known as the Bridgestone Super Bowl XLIII Halftime Show.

Super Bowl Commercials
It's an advertiser's dream as this is the one televised event of the year that people actually tune in for to watch the commercials. It's an uber-expensive advertising extravaganza with 67 spots ranging between $2.4 million and $3 million per 30-second commercial slot. Among the advertisers are Bud Light w/Conan O'Brien, Heineken w/John Turturro, Audi w/Jason Statham, GoDaddy w/Danica Patrick, H&R Block w/Abe Vigoda, and Coke Zero w/Troy Polamalu. SoBe Life Water is running a 60-second commercial and 3-D (get SoBe 3-D glasses here). Fandemonium is sure to become a popular search term after commercial spots for jobs and careers air in Super Bowl XLIII. Career Builder has shown funny ads with monkeys in Superbowl 41, Superbowl 42, and others. Check out their online TV Spots.

Super Bowl Colors
For those of you looking to color coordinate your Super Bowl parties, it's important to know team uniform colors. Believe it or not, not everyone knows that the Pittsburgh Steelers colors are black and gold. One Monroeville Chiropractor (a Pittsburgh Steelers fanatic) says that fans even bleed Black & Gold. The Arizona Cardinals team uniform colors are red and white.

Super Bowl on Twitter
Not everyone will be watching the Super Bowl on television, and even for those that are, there will be thousands tweeting everything from their favorite Super Bowl commercials to bad calls by referees to people complaining about everyone else watching the Super Bowl. Use the Super Bowl OR Superbowl feature on Twitter Search to follow the online frenzy. Trust me, during game time, the results on that link are going to be a blur of updates. Anybody remember who won the Super Bowl 25 years ago? It was a historic event, with Apple Computers 1984 Macintosh commercial (you can see it here) airing for the first time. If you guessed the Raiders you are correct. It was Super Bowl XVIII on January 22, 1984 and the Los Angeles Raiders dominated the Washington Redskins in a 38-9 win at Tampa Stadium in Tampa Bay. The Washington Redskins were the favorite team and the defeat went down in history as Black Sunday.

Will it be a Black and Gold Sunday or Red and White Sunday? We will all have to watch and find out. Enjoy the game and thanks for visiting!

An estimated 7.5 million parties take place on Super Bowl Sunday with some 44 million party-goers. If you're going to be home or entertaining for Superbowl 43 it's time to plan your big game recipes. You don't want to be focusing on what you're going to eat when the Bruce Springsteen halftime show begins. This year, the 2009 Superbowl recipe to top all superbowl recipes includes bacon, lots and lots of bacon. If you ask me, no real Superbowl party should be without it.

You may have already heard of the massive torpedo shaped pork concoction created by Kansas City barbecue addicts Jason Day and Aaron Chronister. Since their BBQ Sausage Recipe of all Recipes went online on December 23, it's been featured in the New York Times, on the homepage of Yahoo, the homepage of Digg, CNN, and several major news networks.

The Bacon Explosion is already all the rage for this weekend's Superbowl and it won't take much to add this ginormous crowd pleaser to your Sunday recipe lineup. Besides a barbecue or oven, here's what you'll basically need...

2 pounds thick cut bacon
2 pounds Italian sausage
1 jar of your favorite barbeque sauce
1 jar of your favorite barbeque rub

The preparation is incredible, with strips of bacon first woven together, and then seasoned and covered with a layer of sausage meat. There's more covering with a crunchy layer of cooked bacon, and a rolling of the whole concoction that can be cooked in a smoker, on a barbecue, or in the oven.

The Bacon Explosion blog has detailed photos and instructions for preparation. Check it out. Take photos if you make your own, and e-mail them to their website, as you may get featured in a future blog post.

What else is on the menu for Superbowl Sunday besides obviously lots of beer? The Sunday standards like hot dogs, hamburgers, chips & guacamole, and spicy hot buffalo chicken wings are all good choices. If you're not planning on cooking and prefer to order in you may want to dial or order online in advance. Pizza delivery companies like Papa John's are offering big-game specials like a a $25 XL one topping pizza special that includes 20 wings tossed in your choice of three sauces (like honey chipotle). The Domino's pizza website features information about ordering early for Sunday's Super Bowl parties. I wouldn't wait until kickoff for ordering pizza or any other food delivery for that matter. It's one of their busiest days of the year.

Super Bowl XLIII in Tampa Bay Florida between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Arizona Cardinals begins on Sunday, February 1, 2009. The 2009 Superbowl Kick Off Time is scheduled for 6:18 pm Eastern (That's 3:18 p.m. for those of you on the West Coast) and will be televised on NBC and NBC HD. There should already be plenty of decadent football friendly foods prepared to get you and your guests through past the fourth quarter, so get shopping on Saturday or early Sunday morning.
